DBQ on the War of 1812 - Write your own DBQ in groups of no more than 3

Question: Was the War of 1812 a Second War for Independence? Consider economic, political and social conditions in the United States from 1812-1820.

 

      1.  Consider what your thesis would be for this DBQ?

2 Find 6 document to answer this DBQ.

q    Make sure you address economic, political, and social conditions.

q    Use at least one document needs to be an image (cartoon, painting, etc.)

q    Use at least one document needs to be a map or chart

3.         Formatting:

q    Lay out documents in chronological order.

q    Use the most relevant parts or excerpts from documents rather than using huge whole documents.

q    Be sure to identify the author/source of the document and its date.

q    Use a variety of document types such as newspapers, speeches, letter, cartoons, charts, maps …. Etc. But no more than four visuals and/or charts and no less than two.

q    Documents should be arranged in chronological order and each should be labeled A, B, C, etc.
